Roger Fyfe MA(Dis), BA(Hons)
Roger Fyfe commenced full time museum work as Deputy Director of Taranaki Museum (now Puke Ariki) in 1979. He moved to the curatorial team at Canterbury Museum in 1992 and is currently Senior Curator Human History. Roger remains active in anthropology, archaeology and material culture curatorship and research. Between 1989 and 2004 Roger was also a member of the Antarctic Heritage Trust Conservation Advisory Group. His specialist anthropological areas of interest include Aotearoa /New Zealand, Oceania, South East Asia, Africa and the Arctic. Roger is also Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Canterbury.
