Searching for Santa more fun than ever
Thursday, 03 December 2015
The Great Museum Santa Search returns to Canterbury Museum next week. From 7 December families are invited to search all over the Museum for toy Santas that have been cleverly hidden in amongst the exhibits.
The Santas are part of a collection that belonged to the late Laurie King. He was well known locally as ‘King Santa’ and brought fun and laughter into the lives of children in hospitals, playcentres and at community charity events for almost 56 years.
For more than 10 years thousands of children have entered the Great Museum Santa Search competition and the event has become an annual favourite for many Canterbury families. The winning child who guesses the correct number of hidden Santas will win a gift pack from The Museum Store.
Between 19 and 23 December, The Great Museum Santa Search competition takes place alongside A Victorian Christmas at Canterbury Museum. Families will be able to make their own Christmas decoration, hear carols from The Plainsmen and meet a very special Victorian style Father Christmas.
The Great Museum Santa Search competition ends on 10 January 2016. See entry form available at the Museum for conditions.
