Feathers and Beaks

High flyers, ground dwellers, strong feathers, downy feathers. Looking through the eyes of a scientist we discover how birds adapt, live and survive in their own unique habitat.

By looking at the hundreds of birds on display in the Bird Hall and with our hands-on bird specimens, students can explore a myriad of ornithological topics such as physical characteristics, adaptation, habitats and extinction.

Access to our hands-on collection of feathers, eggs, nests and skeletons adds a further dimension.
