COVID-19

Canterbury Museum, Quake City and Ravenscar House Museum are open and operating under the COVID-19 Protection Framework Traffic Light Orange setting.

In line with the recent Government announcement, you are no longer required to scan your My Vaccine Pass to visit the Museum, Quake City and Ravenscar House Museum.

Please look after yourself, other visitors and Museum staff by complying with the following public health measures:

  • Masks must be worn if you are aged over 12 years. Children under 12 years are encouraged to wear a mask.
  • Use the hand santiser that is available.
  • Help minimise the risk of COVID-19 and other winter illnesses spreading by keeping your distance from strangers.
  • If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms – temperature, dry cough, difficulty breathing – please do not visit.
  • Use of the NZ COVID tracer app is voluntary.

The Museum Store and Museum Cafe are open and adhering to the Covid-19 Protection Framework Traffic Light Orange setting.
