As Far As the Eye Can See
Canterbury Museum Friends Talk
In early 1881, the Wheeler and Son photographic studio took a series of photographs of Christchurch from the top of the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral.

The photographs were published in an accordion-style fold out album which, when opened, showed Christchurch in a superbly detailed panorama.
In this talk, Glenn Coster, Local History Librarian at Christchurch City Council, will talk about what the Wheeler and Son panorama says about Christchurch and highlight some surprising aspects of the photo.
Hosted by the Friends of Canterbury Museum.
