Darryl Frost piece

Detail of a work by guest selector Darryl Frost

Works displayed will be for sale and include a wide range of sculptural and functional pieces.

The exhibited works were chosen by guest selector, Nelson potter Darryl Frost. Darryl has been throwing clay and firing his artworks since the late 1980s. He fires his works in a hand-built anagama kiln.

Anagama kilns are wood-fired kilns that originated in east Asia. Darryl fires the anagama kiln on his property four or five times a year, with each firing requiring 5 to 7 days of constant stoking and monitoring.

A selection of Darryl's work will be on display and for sale in the exhibition.

This exhibition is no longer on display at the Museum.
