More than 180 works by Owen Mapp, CNZM are on display in Owen Mapp: Dragons and Taniwha – 50 Years an Artist Carver, on tour from Pātaka Art + Museum in Porirua. The works tell the story of how Owen's unwavering dedication to shaping bone and ivory have played a vital part in the revival and desirability of finely-carved bone today.

In this talk, Owen will discuss his practice and some of the works on display in Dragons and Taniwha. There will be plenty of time before or after the talk to explore the exhibition.
