Pilot a Boeing 737

An Air New Zealand Boeing 737 cockpit nose has landed outside Canterbury Museum and is open to the public as part of the airline’s 75th anniversary exhibition.

Cockpit nose 1202Visitors can sit behind the plane’s controls in the pilot and co-pilot seats, entering the flight deck in small groups from steps in the Botanic Gardens.

The cockpit nose was a much photographed and popular attraction at the Air New Zealand 75 Years exhibition in its two previous locations, Te Papa in Wellington and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
