Calling all up and coming Antarctic explorers!

Canterbury Museum will be at various libraries around Selwyn during these September and October school holidays, sharing their love of Antarctica with free drop-in events. Step into the past and immerse yourself in the heroic era of Antarctic exploration, where the incredible stories of Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Roald Amundsen and Ernest Shackleton took place. You will have the opportunity to handle replica clothing worn by these adventurers and explore sledging ration packs to gain tangible connections to the challenges faced in early Antarctic exploration.
